New year, new you: Don’t fail at your resolution to get healthy in 2019!

January 9, 2019

Every new year brings new beginnings and prompts us to make resolutions, promising to turn over a new leaf and reach goals. Exercising more and losing weight is consistently the No. 1 New Year’s resolution in America, and in 2019, 43 percent of Texans surveyed were making this pledge.

Those resolving to get healthy start with the best of intentions, but somewhere along the way (and sometimes much sooner than expected), those goals slip through their fingers. Eighty percent of New Year’s resolutions fail by February. In fact, most end even sooner with Jan. 12 recognized as “Quitter’s Day,” or the day when most people are likely to give up on their resolutions. But this doesn’t have to be you!

SWIFT is here to support your goals in a realistic yet challenging way. Take a holistic approach to your overall wellness with SWIFT sessions that move your body, train your brain and relieve stress.

1. Our Krav Maga fitness routines boost weight loss. One 4-minute session, with short intervals of rapid, high-intensity physical activity, are shown to be more effective and beneficial than running a mile.

2. Build up your patience and manage stress-related symptoms such as depression, anxiety and pain, through our guided meditation.

3. We teach you about the ingredients you consume and how the body reacts to them so you can make choices based on your family's dietary needs.

4. SWIFT chair massages use neuromuscular therapy – a precise treatment of the body’s soft tissues – to help relieve tension and muscle spasms.

SWIFT helps you build up your strength to break through life’s everyday challenges. Go beyond the typical “exercise and lose weight” resolution, and instead resolve to make a health and wellness transformation with SWIFT.

We’d love to help you get started on that transformative path today. Head to our Memberships page, or contact us to learn more.
